American Landscape Systems runs three divisions out of one yard on Midway Road in Lewisville: landscape and hardscape development, irrigation, and commercial landscape maintenance. All three sit in house. A property manager, a general contractor or a school district facilities director calls one number and reaches the crew that built the ground, the crew that plumbed it, and the crew that keeps it alive after handover.

Ground shaped, drained and built before anything is planted in it. We self-perform the concrete, the masonry and the walls, so the hard edges and the planting answer to one contractor.

Irrigation
Four licensed irrigators, and a licence held continuously since 1998. Specified installs, central control across a whole portfolio, reclaimed water where a site has it, and a number that answers at three in the morning.
Joseph T. Angelone, our vice president, has held Texas Commission on Environmental Quality irrigator licence number 6959 since 1998, the longest of the four we carry on staff now. That licence sits over every design-build and specified install we run, not just the ones a permit office happens to inspect.

Commercial landscape maintenance
The long half of the job. A property looks the way it looks two summers after handover because somebody kept mowing it, watering it correctly and rotating the colour.
A public park like Vitruvian gets walked and photographed every day, so the maintenance crew works from the same standard the installation crew built to, not a lesser one. Turf, colour and irrigation management are read from the same plans the original job was estimated against.
